LETTERS, Page 6Blasting Boom-Mobiles
Warning! Beware! Danger! What more can I say to alert the "boom
car" drivers whose superstereo-equipped autos blast the streets
with loud music (BUSINESS, March 6)? These sound devotees could go
deaf or acquire tinnitus, a nerve-racking torment that is like
hearing a telephone ringing constantly. I urge these blockbusters
to turn down the decibels or suffer a lifetime of audio mental
torture.
Paul R. Koval
Santa Maria, Calif.
Boom cars are a nuisance. They interrupt conversation, distract
drivers and pedestrians, wake babies and infringe on other people's
space and thoughts.
Robert L. Warnock Jr.
